A marvel of sustainable concrete construction, this home was built over the course of five years as a vacation home, showcase, and as "filler work" to keep skilled workers employed by Hamann Contraction from El Cajon, CA. This home blends organically with the surrounding landscape, making use of cast-in-place, tilt-up, pervious, and polished concrete. Solomon integral color was used throughout the project. Full details of the project's design and sustainability can be found in Concrete Décor Vol. 15 No. 6 in an article by Gail Elber.
